Santeria Religion

The word Santeria means veneration of the saints, the religion is being practiced

by the enslaved people from Africa in Cuba. Santeria was got in

 practice by the African descent people from Nigeria. The religion is

intermixed with the Catholic religion because most of the people form

Africa was forced to convert to Catholicism the religion was started centuries ago in Africa the land of Yoruba people brought these practices with them to the new world under the slavery then they started to practice their religion. They have several deities which they think

will help them in their life if followers carry out appropriate rituals

In Santeria, Blacks developed a unique way of keeping their old beliefs alive

by comparing each Orissa of their traditional religions with a

consistent Christian Saint. Each of them has an associated Christian

Saint a principle important number, color, food, dance posture, and emblem

. They will serve food to Orissa in the form of animal sacrifice,

then they will have prepared the dishes, as well as human praise in order to remain effective. Ritual Sacrifices these form a primary part of many Santerían religious rituals. The animal's blood is collected and offered to the Orissa. Chickens are the most common animal used.

Scarifies of chicken was believed that it will bring good luck and it will

make us pure from the sins which are been committed.

Today’s world hundreds and thousands of people being involved in this

religion most of them are fully evolved in this religion and their rituals

people from all over the world are being attracted to the religion of

Santeria specifically their rituals as they sacrifice chicken most of the

time.

Santeria is not a religion which contains holy scriptures like other religion

etc. Islam, Judaism. Its kept orally by his followers from all over

Africa to Cuba for at least thousands of years.

That’s how they slaughter they chicken by using some of the basic materials

like a wooden plank. People of this religion often wear a white symbol just to show as they are a peaceful human being it’s also a customary for Santeria followers as they are meticulous about their religious festivals.
