The quote means that try to keep yourself from the malevolent. However, if you have got into the evil then it will be hard to arise from the darkness of the malevolent. monsters turn us to be a monster, therefore we will end up in a dark deep world in which we will be invisible to ourselves
, although we would be familiar in the eyes of the people in our society. Additionally,
the people in the upper hand are responsible in several ways as we think critically. The person who is committing some sort of evil crime in the society against the people, otherwise slightly to another living creature that’s how he is ordered by the superior. So I think about the quote is that no one has the desires to be in a crevasse until society make him be in that we can’t
modify.
 No one can halt inevitable either in a bad way or right way unless the society wants it to be halted. As the author said in the “shooting an elephant” “A white man must not be frightened in front of natives”, As I said earlier that society vigor every individual in some sort which turns that individual into a monster.  It is Usually assumed that we learn from our past, but it is right?  Does equality exist in society ? Because we almost kept people for hundreds of years and save them.  Inequality has existed in our society for thousands of years. Moreover, we cannot deny the fact that inequality eviscerated in our root; In today's world, people still have to face bias and prejudice in this society.
